Pre-marriage Seminar Weekends

The Pre-Marriage Seminar gives engaged couples the opportunity to study and understand the richness and beauty of the teachings of the Catholic Church on marriage and family. It is designed to help couples develop, encourage and enhance skills needed for a loving lifetime relationship in a sacramental marriage.               
               
These seminars are held in Bismarck/Mandan, Dickinson and Minot on various weekends throughout the year.               
               
 We offer the pre-marriage seminar in Spanish twice a year. Please visit this page for more information.
 

***In order for a Pre-Marriage Seminar to take place, there can be no less than seven couples registered.
 If there are not seven couples registered a month prior to the weekend, the Office of Family Ministry has the option to cancel the seminar. You will then need to select another weekend.***

Pre-registration and $150 payment is required prior to the weekend. Please note our seminar sizes are limited. Due to this, we kindly ask couples from outside the Bismarck Diocese to please not sign up for one of our seminars. We must serve our engaged couples primarily.

Prayer for the Bride and Groom
All powerful, ever-living God, we now kneel before you very happy, but somewhat nervous. We feel you brought us together in the beginning, helped our love grow and at this moment are with us in a special way. We ask that you stay by our side in the days ahead. Protect us from anything which might harm this marriage, give us courage when burdens come our way, teach us to forgive one another when we fail. Amen.
