The Bismarck Diocese is hiring a Director of Communications and Media Services. This person serves as the official spokesperson for the bishop and oversees the communication needs of the diocese and resources required. Primary duties include: planning, developing and implementing media strategies to transmit diocesan news and information to the people throughout the diocese using assorted media platforms such as print, website, social media, video and photos; seeking, writing and editing material for the Dakota Catholic Action (DCA) diocesan monthly magazine and other digital platforms; managing the content and updates of the diocesan website and internal communications to clergy and parishes; maintaining effective working relationships with parishes, schools and other entities affiliated with the diocese; fielding calls from the external news media and facilitating interview requests. The Bismarck Diocese has an immediate opening for a part-time cook to work 8 hours every Thursday of the week at the Emmaus Place, a priest retirement facility in Bismarck. This cook position offers a competitive wage and an opportunity that allows the individual to serve our retired priests of Jesus Christ, whom have so faithfully for many years administered to us the sacraments and served the people of the Bismarck Diocese. Job duties include grocery shopping, preparing, and serving meals for the residents, and clean-up. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to lift and carry 20 pounds. Prior cooking knowledge and experience is desirable. All offers of employment are pending a clear background check and reference check.
