I am writing to present you with an exciting opportunity for Catholic youth, the Cor Christi Institute at the University of Mary. As North Dakota’s only Catholic university, we are honored to serve the Church by providing the Cor Christi Institute for the formation of its young people. Our desire is for students to foster their understanding of the Catholic Faith, and to experience a rich encounter with Jesus Christ.
This one-week summer program is geared toward pre-confirmation students, but is open to all rising high school students going into grades 9-12. Its main focus is to provide a solid foundational understanding of the Catholic Faith. Upon completion of the program, each student will be assessed on his or her knowledge of the Catholic Faith, and the results will be sent to the student’s home parish.
I have included registration forms for the Cor Christi Institute. Please note that a letter of recommendation from the pastor of the participant’s home parish must accompany the registration form and fee payment.
Finally, there is a small update to this year. In order to focus students’ learning and experience of Jesus and His Church at Cor Christi, we are updating our phone policy for 2026. Students may travel to Cor Christi with phones, however, when students arrive for check in, we will collect phones for the week (keep them safe) and return them at the end of Cor Christi. On Wednesday of each week, a time will be allotted for students to text/call home. My phone number will be available to parents for necessary communication purposes. If a student has a health need (e.g. medication monitoring), they may request an exemption from the policy. Please communicate this phone policy update to parents and parish staff assisting Cor Christi registration.
If you have any questions about the program, feel free to contact me at [email protected] or call me at 612-275-2928.
